Thanks to all my friends and neighbors who helped with the 4th of July Parade this year. And thanks to all who attended. This is a great community event that seems to attract more spectators every year. Our next big event in Corrales will be the Harvest Festival, the weekend of September 30 – October 1. Corrales MainStreet will again be sponsoring the Wine Fair at the festival, an annual event that showcases local wineries. This is a great opportunity to sample Corrales wines. I encourage all to attend the festival, and encourage local businesses to open your doors to festivalgoers.
At the May 9th Village Council meeting, Corrales passed a Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) ordinance. This aligns with the state of New Mexico’s LEDA program, and gives Corrales a great deal of flexibility in partnering with new economic opportunities. Corrales MainStreet is committed to helping entrepreneurs build and grow businesses in Corrales, including agriculture businesses. If you are considering Corrales as a location for your business, we can help. Please call our Executive Director Sandy Rasmussen, at 897-0502.
